Overview

Stanley started his journey specializing in debt recovery matters during his journey in the pupillage and his first-year in an established law firm in Kuala Lumpur. He was exposed to a great amount of tenancy matters, whether disputed and non-disputed.

Stanley was later entrusted to lead and handle all the tenancy matters of Setapak Central Mall (previously known as Festival City Mall) and One City Mall which has forged great knowledge and ability in debt recovery matters, writ of seizure and sale and repossession of premises. Stanley’s main area of practice now is in the realm of construction disputes. With much honour, Stanley was assigned to lead in a construction dispute between a multibillion China construction company and a well-known local developer during year 2017 and 2018. Such dispute involved a total monetary sum of over RM200 million. Stanley and his team were victorious in defending against the counter-claim made by the developer in an amount of RM100 million.

His passion about construction matters knows no end. He is conversant with the procedure in losses and expenses claim and the PAM Contract 2006. Stanley has given multiple seminars which focuses mainly on the guideline on how to structure an effective losses and expenses claim and how to defend against a claim in the same nature, to various prominent developers and contractors in his practice. Successfully passing the examination for the Certificate in Adjudication held by the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in November 2018, Stanley is now a panel Adjudication of the AIAC.
